FINALLY we were able to spend the second half of last week outside with plenty of time to get fresh air!  It was such a joy to have the "mild" temps so the kids could run off some of that energy!  Looks like this week will bring plenty of days that we can spend outside too!  YAY!

Week of Jan. 12-16

We survived the first week of this cold snap!  I hope to get outside by the end of the week!  As the temperatures near the cut off for going outside, please make sure your child has everything they need to go out...so that if we get the opportunity to we can take advantage of it!  Being that we haven't been out in a while, there is a good chance I might make a judgement call to get out for a short period even if it is a little below what they recommend!  Dress warm!

Last week we kept ourselves busy with Travel Tots and Music Class...as well as many creative indoor activities!  Lots of dance parties, had a princess tea party, created massive towers and so on!

We started our Monthly curriculum as well!  We started learning a little bit about animal tracks as well as penguins!  The kids love the penguin theme!

This week we have DRESS SILLY DAY on Wednesday!  Come looking as goofy as you can!  Crazy clothes, crazy hair...whatever your child can come up with!  We'll have lots of silly fun that day!

Menu:
Monday- Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches, corn, apples and milk
Tuesday- Chicken and Broccoli Pasta, garlic bread, peaches and milk
Wednesday- Chili, corn bread, fruit cocktail and milk
Thursday- Sloppy Joes, bananas, Green beans and milk
Friday- English Muffin Pizzas, grapes, carrots and milk

Just a little reminder for parents of children between the ages of 3.5 and 4 (or older if you have yet to do this...)  The school districts now require an Early Childhood Screening before entrance into kindergarten and recommend doing it around 3 years and 8 months.  Here is the link to the Mounds View School districts Screening page, but you can do it in whatever your home School district is for free (or Mounds View if you plan to open enroll your child there)  It is a good tool to assess where your child is at with all areas of development!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back!  I hope everyone enjoyed their Holidays and had a chance to spend some quality time with their children.  Despite my FINALLY catching this cold that has been sweeping through daycare, we had a great break!  Spent some time up at the cabin ice fishing and skating on the lake, went bowling and spent a night at a Waterpark hotel!  Not much rest for this momma!

Thank you for all for the wonderful Christmas Gifts.  That was so generous and thoughtful, it really makes me feel appreciated and is wonderful to know that I have such great families!

The kids did a great job at the Christmas Program!  I was very proud of them!  For being a younger crowd, I was pretty impressed!  Here are some pictures I was able to capture!

This week we are going to jump right back into the routine!  We have Travel Tots on Tuesday with Ms. Beth! And Music Class on Friday with Tasha!

I also have a new potential daycare sub coming to meet the kids on Thursday morning!  Her name is Jessica and does subbing for many providers around the area!

I have the 2015 contracts to send home for everyone. Please read through them, still out and sign the last 2 pages and return them to me ASAP!

Monday- Mac and Cheese, corn, oranges and milk
Tuesday- Tacos, green beans, pears and milk
Wednesday- Chicken Tenders, applesauce, carrots and milk
