Last blog update for AUGUST!

We didn't have much going on this week, so figured I would just wait and do one last one covering the end of this week through next week!  THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER!  Can you believe it?!

In the next two weeks, we have two darling little girls to say goodbye to.  Mallory will be done Friday, August 26 and Anna is done Thursday, Septmeber 1st.  They have been such great girls and we will miss them so much as they go on to Kindergarten.  Anna started here when she was 18 months and Mallory was almost 2.  So I have watched them go and think they will do great things!  Love you girls!

Mallory's little brother, Dominic (17 months old), will be filling the void she leaves behind so I am sure we will still see her around, and both them are always welcome to come visit us or spend the day with us on a school break!

*As the school year begins, please remember that during bus stop time (8:25-8:40) please do not park in the driveway, to provide a safe path to the bus for the kids.

Week of August 15-19!

Last week we had a great visit with Talon!  I brought all the big boys to go visit him and everyone was very excited!  they got to see all his toys, his cool blue cast, even his big boy room!  And that little guy is such a trooper, I just could not believe it!  He's got his own way of moving around and a smile on his face the whole time!  He will be back running around with us in no time!  Thank you to everyone who contributed to his gift basket!  We also got to see his new sister Kaia.  What a precious little doll!  She looks just like Talon! And they are all making it through this stressful time together!  What a strong family!

This week, we have Travel Tots on Wednesday.  I thought it was last Wednesday, but remembered while we were waiting for Ms. Carrie that we switched the schedule around a little but this month!  So, it will be this Week, from 11:30-12:30.

Thursday and Friday, Erin will be here full days.  Chris' cousins is getting married in Green Bay Friday afternoon in true Packer Style! 

Menu:

Monday- Deli Sandwiches, Fresh fruit, peas and carrots, and milk

Tuesday- Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, bananas and milk

Wednesday- Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Oranges and milk
Thursday- Ravioli, Apple slices. pears and milk

THIS WEEK AT DAYCARE!

Having Eva here with Jeovanni made me think about when she started she was only 18 months and now she is going in to first grade!  So I had to find a picture from way back when!  There is Eva, Little Mallory, mini Aidan and teeny Logan!  There is also Henry and Thomas (who just happens to be "busy" in the picture!)  As well as Jackson who some of you may remember!  Seems like forever ago...and now this whole "first batch" are school-agers!

We have a busy week this week!

Wednesday, we have Travel Tots, from 11:30-12:30!
Thursday, I am taking a few kids over with me to visit Talon.  So Erin will be here with the other kids from 9:30-11 in the morning!
Friday is music class!  I have changed out time to 11:00 with Tasha, to work around her babie's schedule a little!
Then Friday Afternoon, I am heading out of town early, so my mom, Linnea will be here for the last few hours to finish off the daycare day for me!

All that on top of the Regularly scheduled Superhero stuff!  This week we are going to hopefully make our capes and write messages in secret invisible ink!

Monday- Beef Tacos, Corn, peaches and milk
Tuesday- Chicken Nuggets, berries, beans and milk
Wednesday- Eggs, bacon, toast, applesauce and milk

What’s Happening This Month!

This morning during school time, I brought down our new box of school stuff for the month, and had yet to open it myself!  So with all the boys watching closely over my shoulder guessing various themes for the month, I pulled out our curriculum guide and read the theme- SUPERHEROES!  You should have heard the uproar that caused!  It is going to be a fun month!!!

We are continuing on with our review of the letters, numbers, shapes and colors.  And enjoying our last month of summer vacation!

With the school year approaching, I want to remind you parents with children between the ages of 3 and 4, that the school district requires an “Early Childhood Screening”  before entrance into kindergarten, and they would like to do it around 3.5 years old.  It is just a short evaluation of your child’s early development and will let you know what they need to work on before kindergarten!  Here is the number to call up at Pike Lake to schedule your appointment- 651-621-7420   http://www2.moundsviewschools.org/communityed/index.asp?ID=1808  for more info.
