ALMOST MADE IT!!!
Well, the plan from the beginning of this pregnancy was to induce labor on the 19th or 20th of July, and here we are! That week is upon us and I have made it despite an impatient child trying to join the daycare group a little early!!! At this point, induction is scheduled for early Friday AM. So next week DAYCARE WILL BE CLOSED for the week to allow me to come home to a quiet house and have a little bit of bonding time with the new little man and the family. Daycare will re-open on Monday, July 30th with Erin here full time that week.
*Even if he comes in the next couple days, we will most likely stick to this schedule, keeping daycare open with Erin here the remainder of the week and closed next week.
*I have stopped Electronic payments for next week's direct deposit clients.
Last week we had a lot of fun with both our Travel Tots class and our music class! This is such a nice opportunity for the kids to have a little change of pace from our everyday routine! Our Travel Tots class for next week will be rescheduled for the following week.
We also enjoyed an afternoon in the sprinkler on Wednesday. Some of the kids are a little apprehensive about the water splashing them in the face, but it is a great way to cool down! Hoping to get the water slide out this week for the kids to play in!
MENU:
Monday- Chicken nuggets, fruit cocktail, corn and milk
Tuesday- Scrambled eggs, toast, applesauce and orange juice
Wednesday-Ravioli, garlic bread, apple slices and milk
Thursday- Tacquitos, carrots, bananas and milk
Friday- Ham and Cheese sandwiches, green beans, pears and milk

71 things your child needs to know before Kindergarten!
I found this blog post this morning and found it insightful. After having two kids through kindergarten, I agree with most of the items on the list.
Just thought it would be a good read, especially if you have child starting this fall or next!

Week of July 9-13
Red, White and Blue Day!
Swimming in the WARM water!
Building an invention in the sand! They were so proud of their accomplishment!
Last week, the older kids got to take a special field trip to Long Lake Beach for some swimming time during nap! They had a lot of fun! Even though the water was quite possibly warmer than the 90 degree air!!!
The whole gang had a great time keeping cool in the wading pool and sprinkler last week! I hope to get the big waterslide out soon for a special day of water fun!
We are jumping right back into it this week with Travel Tots Monday morning at 10:00 with Ms. Jeanette. I am excited to see which country we will be learning about this month!
Friday morning, we have music with Tasha at 11:00. The kids really look forward to these classes and have a lot of fun at them!
Erin is scheduled to be here this week Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. And Also Wednesday morning.
No real news at this point on the baby front. Still playing the waiting game! Could of course still be any day, but the latest being induction on the morning of the 20th. Another Dr appointment this week on Wednesday.
I filled one spot with a 3.5 year old boy, Brody, who will be starting mid August. His brother, Max, (who will be starting kindergarten at Bel Air in the fall) will be with us for 2 weeks before school starts as well! Then after Labor Day, Kaia, Talon's little sister will be with us! I will still have 2 spots availalble after Labor Day for 2 years old and up, so if you know of any one who may be looking for care, please be sure to pass along my info!

June 25- June 29
Summer is in full swing now! The kids are really enjoying being able to play outside and have fun! Last week we went on a few walks. A couple days we walked to the cul-de-sac to run a few laps and get energy out before the rain came! We also walked to the pond and to the park one morning! I do have all the kids walking, none of them are in strollers, so please make sure they wear good running/playing shoes EVERY day!
This week we have more summer fun in store for us! We have Travel Tots today (Monday) with Ms. Jeanette. I also hope to spend another afternoon at the park! Eva (Jeovanni's big sister) will be here with us for the next couple weeks. So the kids are looking forward to playing with her!
Erin will be here this week Monday, Thursday and Friday afternoons as well as Wednesday Morning.
At my Doctor's appt last week, we discovered that baby would really like to start making his way into this world soon! So I will keep you all updated if it seems that it may be even sooner than the 19th. I understand that it may be tough to plan for that closed week, not knowing for sure when it will be, but babies make their way here on their own time and there is not much I can do about it!

June 18-22
I hope everyone had a great Father's day and was able to spend some quality time with their families!
Last week we had a great time with Ms. Jeanette on Monday during our Travel Tots class. We traveled to Mexico. Complete with ponchos, sombreros and Luminaras! The kids got to put on a parade with their maracas! It was great to be able to have class outside and enjoy the weather!
We are officially DONE with the basement bedroom! No more contruction people coming in and out. No more having to shufffle nap time upstairs to avoid the sound of nail guns and saws!!!! It looks great! We have even moved Logan into Aidan's old room and have Logan's old room set up as the nursery already! Now time to relax as the END approaches very quickly!
Just a reminder that I am CLOSED for holiday time July 4-6.
This week looks like we might have some rain and storm days. So hopefully we are able to get outside as much as possible! We will also be coming up with some creative ways to stay busy inside! With Sever weather season in full swing this is a great time to go over your storm drill with your children at home. We will be discussing it this week here at daycare as well.
Erin will be here Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon this week. Then starting next week, she will be here sometime everyday. Mostly afternoons, other than when I have appointments scheduled!
MENU:
Monday- Spaghetti, veggies, grapes and milk
Tuesday- Bologna and Cheese sandwiches, pasta salad, applesauce and milk
Wednesday- French toast sticks, ham, pineapple, corn and milk
Thursday-English Muffin Pizzas, bananas and milk
Friday-Hot Dogs, carrots, pears and milk

Week of June 11-June 15!
On one of our morning walks, we walked a different route and passed Jack's house! He was very excited to show his friends where he lives and they were all very impressed with his windows!!!!
Anyone else ever wish they could stop time?! I feel like the weeks are flying by! Which in my current condition is wonderful, but I am afraid to blink, scared that when I open up my eyes summer will be over and the kids will all be grown up!!!
Last week we have music class on Friday with Tasha and the kids had a great time singing about the weather!
I decided to have the kids decorate their own water bottles to keep at daycare to use for snack time and playtime outside! That way they always have cold water accesible to them when running around in the heat! They loved doing it!
This week, we have Travel Tots on Wednesday with Ms. Jeanette. The kids really look forward to the classes with her! We moved our time up a little bit for the summer to work with our schedule a little better. So class will start at 10am now.
Erin will be here this week on Monday and Wednesday from 3-5. She will start being here most days in the afternoon starting next week, and her presence will increase as baby time quickly approaches!
I didn't do a June Newsletter since we are not doing official "school" time during the summer, so keep an eye on the blog and the facebook page to know what we have going on at daycare! I will be sure to send reminders for any special days we are doing.
I am looking at some fun field trip ideas for the summer. Some just for the older kids and some for the whole group! I will let you know what I come up with and if I need any help with chaperones/drivers!
MENU:
Monday- Tortilla rollups, fresh fruit, raw carrots/dip and milk
Tuesday- Homemade macaroni and cheese, corn, applesauce and milk
Wednesday-Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Apple slices, green beans and milk
Thursday- Corn Dogs, baked beans, peaches and milk
Friday- Tacquitos, carrots, pears and milk

Week of June 4- June 8
The kids doing craft time out in the sunshine!
We also have Music class this week on Friday with Tasha from 11-11:30! Tasha told me at last month's music class that they are expecting their 2nd child in October as well, so the kids were excited to hear that she also had a baby in her belly!!
I do not have any additional info on baby's arrival yet. Other than if he has not made his way here on his own by July 19th, he will come then! No matter when I go, daycare will remain open the days that I am at the hospital with Erin here (and maybe a little help from my mom Linnea) then daycare will be closed when I get home from the hospital for a week to allow for some peace and quiet to recover in! I will keep you updated as the date keeps approaching RAPIDLY!
Made a ROAD for our trucks!
This week we have Erin here Wednesday and Thursday mornings to cover appointments and end of the year events at school. She will also be here Friday afternoon from 12-5! We are heading to Wisconsin to celebrate my sister-in-laws high school graduation with our family!
