Halloween Pictures and NOVEMBER CALENDAR

We had a great time at our Halloween party on Tuesday!  We carved a pumpkin, had a dance party, decorated cupcakes and made SPOOOOOKY ghosts! Here are some fun pictures of the kids!

*As you can see, I will be using the remainder of my days off for the year, in combination with the contracted closed days, over the holidays as I have in the past.  This is a great time for me to spend quality time with all my family members, get some deep cleaning done around the house, year end book-keeping finished and re-charge for the start of 2018!  Hope you enjoy your holidays.

October 2-6

Can't believe October is already here!  I think summer is officially over, so I will be sending home the swimsuits until next year!  Please also update your child's extra clothes bin as well to seasonally appropriate items.

This month we will be learning about Weather and the Changing seasons! Your children will chase the wind and discover the mystery of weather and the changes that come with the seasons. They will love pretending to twirl like tornadoes and imitate thunderclouds. Your children will make a rain stick, sort leaves and curl up like a hibernating bear in his cozy den.

Out letters for the month will be U, N and C and we will be learning the numbers 3 and 4!

I am also excited that I have a found an amazing daycare sub for during the school year.  She was a licensed daycare provider up until August when she closed her daycare to finish off her nursing degree.  She has agreed to help cover a few hours here and there when I have appointments, field trips for the kids, etc.  Her name is Tessie and she will be here this week on Friday morning for a little bit!

Also, the software I use for book keeping, food program and auto pay is being updated to a different program.  The change will take effect this week so just want to give you all a heads up that you may have to log in and re-authorize your auto pay account.  I will update you once I make the change. I have heard there have been some kinks in the change over, so I have waited until the last possible make to do the update in hopes that they have them worked out by now!

Week of September 18th- 22nd

We are having so much fun here getting back into our routine of preschool!  We are busy learning about our bodies!  This week we will be focusing on the five senses and the Letter A!

We are also continuing to get to know our new friends!  Dessa, Sylvia and Maggie are fitting in perfectly with our group!  I am blessed to spend my days with 10 wonderful children!

Last week we celebrated Charlotte's 4th birthday!  She brought us a delicious cookie cake, which all the kids REALLY enjoyed!

This week we have Travel Tots on Monday at 9am

We will also do show and tell on Thursday.  Please help you child bring something that starts with an A that they can show their friends!

BACK TO SCHOOL!

Can't believe Summer break is officially over!  It seems like it just started.  Also cannot believe that my last "baby" is in kindergarten!  That will definitely be an adjustment for me!

Ryan and Landon also both started kindergarten this fall.  I wish all the student a great school year!

Here at daycare, we are heading BACK TO SCHOOL too!  Our September curriculum has arrived and we will be easing our way back into this week and going full strength next week!  Our theme for the month is: "My amazing body"  We will be learning about our body parts and what they are used for.  Also how to take care of them by staying healthy and about our clothing!  The kids always love this unit so I am looking forward to a great month!

Our letters for the month are Aa, Bb and Hh, our numbers are 1 and 3.  We will also have some fun songs to sing and great crafts!

We welcomed Dessa and her parents, Maiwenn and Damian last month and this week we have Sylvia who has started.  Her parents are Heidi and Joe, so if you see them in passing be sure to say hi and introduce yourself.

Week of July 10-14

It is hard to believe that the stores already have school supplies out...summer goes by way too fast!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their time spent on lakes, in pools, sprinklers, picnics, slip n slides....it has been a beautiful summer!

Here are some pictures from our picnic a couple weeks ago!  The kids had so much fun we plan on doing it again the end of the month! Stay tuned for more details.

We also celebrated Jaxon's 4th birthday!

This week we have Music Class Friday morning at 10am with Tasha.

I hope to have some good sprinkler time and use the new kiddie pool!  The kids have been begging for it!  The weather looks promising for a nice hot water day!

Mike will also be here Friday afternoon.

Week of June 26-30

The kids are having a great time this summer!  We have spent so much time outdoors, but they are definitely looking forward to another heat wave for some fun in the sprinkler!

This week we will be GOING ON A PICNIC TO THE PARK on THURSDAY!!!!  They are all really looking forward to it! Please send a bag lunch for your child including a beverage!  It's easiest if they are in a throw away lunch bag, less to carry home when they are already tired!

We will also be celebrating Jaxon's 4th birthday on Thursday!!! Busy day for the kids!

I know there are a lot of people heading out of town this weekend, if your child will be gone on Friday, please let me know ASAP so I can plan accordingly.

Reminder, I am closed July 3-5 for the 4th of July holiday!  I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend celebrating with friends and family.

Week of June 5-9

With Memorial Day over it is the Unofficial beginning of summer!  The kids are excited to have some nice hot weather!!!

They are all looking forward to our hot days in the sprinkler and kiddie pool!  If everyone could send a swimsuit to keep her for the summer that would be great!  Also regarding sunscreen, I do provide it, but am more than open to donations!!!! ;)  We can go through quite a bit with all these kids!  The backyard is mostly shady in the afternoon, so that helps a lot!

Last week we celebrated Berit's 3rd birthday!  She brought us some delicious cupcakes to share with the group!

This week we have Travel tots on Monday with Ms. Beth.  Our summer schedule is the 1st and 3rd MONDAY of every month at 9am.

We will also have Music Class at 10am on Friday with Tasha!

The older kids are out of school starting this week on Thursday and both Aidan and Logan are looking forward to summer break!  Aidan is old enough to legally be a daycare "helper" for me, so he is working on completing the necessary trainings to make it official!  He will essentially just be an extra set of eyes and ears for me and will help play games with the kids!  His first "real" job!

During the summer we try to enjoy the weather as much as possible and have some fun!!!  Less school time, but I still plan on doing some weekly themes and crafts when we can!
