May 5- May 9

May has arrived!  I think it is safe to say that spring is here to stay now!  Looking forward to a fun summer with a great group of kids!

Our kitchen is coming along pretty smoothly- no real hiccups in the process yet and we are nearing the finish line!  This week I will have some workers here fishing the sheetrock and ceiling- so if they are working (they don't plan on starting until 9am) you may want to walk your kids around back in the morning.  Then next Monday- new cabinets go in!  Can't wait!

Tuesday we have Travel Tots with Ms. Beth!  The kids just love it when she comes!  They have learned a lot from her- if they have not already: ask them to sing you the oceans song or the 7 continents song!
I will be gone Friday Afternoon attending Logan's big Mother's Day Program at School, and then leaving for up north after school gets out!  Katie (who most of you met last week on Friday) will be here for me!  The kids really enjoyed meeting her!

Week of April 28- May

We have a rainy week ahead of us...but after the rain there will be bright green grass and trees blossoming though out the neighborhood!  April Showers Bring May Flowers, right?!

We will come up with some creative activities to keep ourselves busy this wet week!  Probably some play dough, some parachute, an obstacle course, maybe build a fort...we'll see what other fun we come up with!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that I will some opening this summer- so if you know of anyone looking for preschool care, or school age summer only care- pass my info along!  I am offering $25 off a week's tuition for new referrals from current daycare families!  Still have a spot available for immediate care as well!

This week on friday, we will have a visit from a new daycare sub!  Her name is Katie and is a sister on one of my best friends!  She has worked at multiple licensed home daycares full time and is currently a part time nanny for a family I know.  She is looking for a few extra hours of work and I am in need of someone to help cover daycare for me so I can attend a few end of the school year activities/shows for my children!  She is wonderful with the kids and will be great to have around!  She will be here this Friday afternoon with me to meet the kids and hopefully some of the parents.  Then she will covering next Friday afternoon for me so I can watch Logan's Mother's Day performance at school!

Monday- Peanut butter and jelly, green beans, peaches and milk
Tuesday- Chicken Tenders, applesauce, tator tots and milk

Week of April 21-25

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  I don't think we could have had a more beautiful day!

As you drop your children off today- you will see a lovely addition to our house!  A massive dumpster in the driveway!  As you continue further in to the house- you will see over half of my kitchen is missing!!!  Our complete

Kitchen overhaul that has been 8 years in the making is finally underway!  The next couple weekends will be be spent ripping out the rest of the 1970's cabinets and countertops and laying a new tile floor!  Then our brand new custom cabinets and countertops will be installed! There may be a fine layer of dust and we may have a few more microwavable or cold meals but other than that- the construction process shouldn't affect daycare!  Can't wait for it to all be done!

This week at daycare we have Travel Tots on Tuesday with Ms. Beth.

We will continue with our letter review and learning about baby animals!

I hope everyone has a wonderful next couple of weeks!  The weather is going to warm up- the sun will be shining so enjoy it!

We leave for Florida bright and early Wednesday morning and return home on the 21st!  9 days of 80 degree weather sounds just about perfect!  We are going to a Twins Spring Training game, walking through the Everglades on an alligator hunt, visiting a few of our favorite restaurants and shops- but mostly just relaxing and spending time together as a family!

REMINDER ERIN WILL BE HERE MARCH 19, 20 and 21 to run daycare for me!
